A family manufacturer from Pollachi
Founded in 1990 by A. Tamilselvan, Fibro Coir Products has grown from a single two-ply machine into a group of three factories serving growers abroad.
Our story
We started with coir yarn and fibre for buyers in Kerala and Tamil Nadu. Coco peat, the pith left after fibre extraction, was once treated as waste. We began supplying it to poultry farms, learned about the 5 kg block, and bought our first compressing machine in 2006.
Today the group extracts fibre, spins rope and produces washed and buffered coco peat, grow bags and husk chips, with an in-house lab checking every stage. Our blocks ship to growers in the United States, Mexico and Peru.
- 1990
Operations begin with a semi-automatic two-ply coir machine.
- Early years
Diesel-powered fibre extraction keeps production running without interruption.
- 2006
First block compressing machine and SSI registration. Fibre supplied to Kerala.
- Expansion
Fully automated fibre extraction at Vignesh Coir Products and rope spinning at Navaneeth Coir Products.
- Today
Exporting buffered coco peat, grow bags, husk chips, fibre and rope, with our own quality lab.
